As one of the leading Hampshire's most active Stamp, Postal History and Postcard Societies. We offer a full programme of; talks, displays (some given by leading experts), visits to exhibitions/fairs, philatelic auctions and several evenings devoted to members' own displays. Our talks cover all aspects of Philately; Stamps, Postal History, Postcards etc., and are of interest not only to collectors but also to those interested in local history. We cater for all members, be they beginners or expert philatelists. The president and all members look forward to welcoming you to one of our meetings, or even better as a new member of the Portsmouth & District Philatelic Society.

We meet on a Monday evening at Portchester Parish Hall, Assheton Court, Portchester, PO16 9PY on a bi-monthly basis between September and end of June, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We also have one Afternoon meeting per month, on a Tuesday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. There is a small car park opposite the Church Hall entrance which can usually accommodate all our members/guests cars. Many aspects of philately and interests are collected and researched by our members. All views and opinions are valued weather they come from our newest or oldest member of the society. Why not come along and join us for a cup of tea at one of our informal but informative meetings.

Doors open at 7.00pm and the meeting commences at 7.30pm prompt. We start with a small amount of Society business followed by a raffle. The main display starts at approximately 7.40pm and runs until 8.30pm when we have a break and refreshments. The speaker recommences at 8.50pm and concludes at 9.20pm leaving about fifteen minutes for viewing. On the evenings when we have an auction (twice a year) then the doors open at 6.00pm to allow for viewing and the auction commences at 7.30pm and runs through until completed, there are no refreshments on these evenings.
